Features
The Isofix version of the Priori seat from Maxi Cosi uses the same seat design and materials. We'd prefer to see a closer-fitting headrest fitted, but like the feel and comfort of the materials. There are four reclining positions.

Ease of operation
Like other Isofix designs, you wouldn't want to walk a long way holding the PrioriFix, which is heavy and cumbersome. Slotting the seat into position and securing it tightly is easy, however, and there are plenty of indicators to let you know you've done this right and adjusted the leg to the floor of the car properly. You can still use a seatbelt to fit the PrioriFix into the car, but you won't get the ratchet system from the XP which tightens up the belt for you. There are three different height adjustments for the harness.

Buying
It's not difficult to fit the XP with the seatbelt so, in common with other Isofix seats, we're not altogether convinced by the extra cost of the Priorfix, which is the most expensive seat of all in this test.

Quality
Every part of the PrioriFix feels solid, so we'd expect to it be a long-lasting bit of kit.

Special features
Special mention should be made of the Maxi-Cosi instructions and website. The user material you get with the seat is very clear and easy to follow and is bolstered by excellent supplementary video information online.
