2013 Range Rover Sport exclusive preview
Land Rover has called its new Sport the 'ultimate premium sports SUV', and we agree it's the most luxurious version yet. On top of standard spec – including DAB radio and HD navigation – it also gets Land Rover's first optional head-up display.
It's also more practical than its predecessor, with a longer, wider body for more elbow- and legroom in the back, and the option of two extra occasional rear seats, giving Audi Q7 and BMW X5 buyers something to think about.
Design-wise, the new Sport gets a lower stance and more muscular sculpting than that of its predecessor. The front seats have been lowered by 20mm to provide a more driver-focused ride, while the rotary-style gear selector is banished, in favour of a proper gearstick.
