The new Volvo V40 Cross Country is, according to the manufacturer, 'designed for those who want a sense of adventure in their every day lives'.

This new soft-roader version of the V40 range is more rugged than the standard car, with more ground clearance, chunkier bumpers and roof bars.

Thanks partly to pedestrian detection and automated emergency braking technology, the V40 has been named safest-in-class by Euro NCAP.
