There’s a big future for exciting small cars. Just ask Mini, which recently hit the one million production mark only six years after start-up. Mini is now a globally recognised brand and has arguably done more than anyone to make small cars cool again.
There’s a highly desirable modernistic small car that pre-dated the Mini by eight years, though: the
Renault Twingo. The trouble is, it was never available in the UK. Well, come September there’ll be an all-new one, and it’s coming here in right-hand-drive form.
With the new
Fiat 500 set to follow on a few months later, the Mini might soon start to feel the pinch.
