Audi has added two new engines for A5 coupe buyers as part of an initiative to offer improved power and economy.
The first, a 2.7-litre V6 diesel engine, is already available in the A4 and A6 range, but it has an increased power output of 187bhp for the A5.
It powers the car from 0-62mph in 7.6sec and on to a top speed of 144mph. It manages 42.2mpg and emits 178g/km of carbon dioxide.
The new A5 2.7 TDI will cost from £31,640.
The second engine is the 3.2-litre petrol that's already available in the A4, A6 and A8 range, but with an increased power output of 262bhp.
The 0-62mph dash is managed in 6.6sec. The car has a 155mph top speed and returns 31.7mpg. It emits 207g/km of carbon dioxide.
The engine also benefits from new technology that boosts fuel economy by 10%.
Cars fitted with the engine will cost from £33,230.
Both engines will initially only be available with Audi's automatic CVT gearshift and front-wheel drive.
A5s with the new engines can be ordered now and will be delivered in late October.
