Audi will release a new 2.0-litre diesel A4 Cabriolet this November, priced from £26,500.
The new drop-top uses the 138bhp TDI engine from the A4 saloon and Avant models. It will deliver 43.4mpg, and will cover the 0-60mph dash in 9.7 seconds. Buyers can order cars from dealers in November with the first deliveries expected early in 2006.
Manual and automatic gearboxes will be on offer, but the car will only be available with front-wheel drive. Trim levels follow the other cars in the range with standard, Sport and S Line versions available. The standard car starts at £26,575, with the Sport coming in at £27,325, and the S Line £28,975.
The cars emissions are kept greener with the use of a particulate filter, which helps keep CO2 output to 176g/km. Company car drivers will pay tax based on 25% of the car's value.
