So, how do you find out which supermini autos are best?

Well, information on fuel economy, carbon dioxide output and acceleration is (or should be) available on manufacturers' websites, but it isn't always that easy to find.

Below are three of the best and three of the worst, purely in terms of efficiency compared with the manual version.
