A new, online one-stop shop for consumers and motorists has been launched which should help you avoid those long, slow queues in the Post Office on Saturday morning.
The site at www.direct.gov.uk offers a range of services where motorists can apply for tax discs, change driving licence details, check MoT records, declare their car off the road (so you don't have to pay tax), book a theory or practical test and much more.
The site isn't solely dedicated to motoring so other paper-pushing, from registering births to paying your council tax, can also be done with your mouse.
Our reviews are based on hard data and thorough testing in the real world.
