The Bentley Continental GT Speed Convertible has been unveiled ahead of its official debut at the 2013 Detroit motor show later this month. It goes on sale in the summer, for £167,900.
The new GT Speed Convertible is an open-top version of the Bentley Continental GT Speed coupe, which was launched in autumn 2012. It gets the same mechanical package as the coupe, including a 616bhp 12-cylinder engine.
Top speed is 202mph, while Bentley quotes a 0-62mph time of 4.1 seconds. Average economy is 19.0mpg; a 15% improvement on the previous model's.
The suspension is lowered compared with the standard Continental GT Convertible's. There's also an updated stability control system that has a 'Dynamic Mode', which intervenes less than the standard setting.
Exterior changes over the Continental GT Convertible include 21-inch alloy wheels (in either silver or dark tint), dark-tinted grilles, and 'rifled' exhaust tailpipes. There's also a black enamel background for the winged 'B' radiator badge.
Interior features include diamond-quilted leather upholstery and dark-tinted aluminium trim.
