This is the new Bentley SUV, teased in a single image ahead of an expected sales debut in 2016.
Bentley showed a concept SUV two years ago, but the new version appears to have been adapted to fall more in line with the rest of the brand's line-up. 'It has completely changed from the concept,' said Bentley chairman Wolfgang Schreiber.
'We are hitting our targets so far on the SUV,' said Schreiber, who also revealed that the latest development model will start its winter testing programme later this week.
Bentley has not issued specific technical details on the car, but senior sources have confirmed that it will get the firm's W12 engine, that a plug-in hybrid version is likely from 2017, and that its pricing will start 'just above' where top-end Range Rovers stop.
'There will be more than one derivative, more than one trim level and we're factoring in things like Mulliner [Bentley's customisation department],' said the company's sales and marketing, boss Kevin Rose.
