The appearance of the three cars has been harmonised, with more expensive-looking light clusters and grilles to emphasise their positioning as premium SUVs. The shift is most pronounced on the Discovery, which now looks like a Range Rover.

All three models also get new or improved interiors, with better materials, additional colour options and less switchgear clutter.

They also have a new electrical system that makes it possible to introduce additional features. There's a twin-view central touchscreen that allows the driver to use the sat-nav while the front passenger simultaneously watches a DVD, for instance. Land Rover says the twin-view screen is a world first in any application.

A hard drive sat-nav system, adaptive cruise control, MP3 connector, keyless entry and starting, blind-spot monitoring and 360-degree surround-view cameras – including one to guide you when hooking-up a trailer – are also on offer.
