Big savings on family-friendly cars

This week's deals feature a whole host of savings on cars aimed at family buyers.
First up is a recent addition to the family-car market, in the form of the Volkswagen Golf SV. It's joined on the list by the likes of the Ford Focus and Mondeo Estates and the Skoda Octavia Estate.
The Golf SV discount is a decent £2544, thanks to Drivethedeal.com. This takes the price below £20,000 to £19,036, and is for the 1.4 TSI engine in SE trim.
If you fancy something a little more estate-shaped, then we've got two Fords on this week's list, with the Focus coming with a high level of equipment on a mid-level engine. The model in question is the 1.6-litre diesel in Titanium X Navigator trim. The price you pay is £19,318, thanks to a hefty £4777 discount on Autoebid.com.
The larger Mondeo Estate is also discounted on Autoebid.com, with a £3226 saving taking the price down to £18,519. You get the same 1.6-litre diesel engine, but a slightly lower level of equipment, as you get the Eco Edge trim in this case.
Similarly priced is the Skoda Octavia Estate, which discounts have brought down to £19,928 thanks to Carfile.net. The saving is £3187, and you get the 2.0-litre TDI 150 engine and Elegance trim.
