BMW will unveil this awesome new M6 Convertible at the British Motor Show in July, with sales starting this September.
Powered by the same 500bhp 5.0-litre V10 as the M6 Coupe and M5 saloon, the new drop-top would be capable of nearly 200mph if BMW hadn't limited its maximum speed to 155mph.
Still, progress from 0-62mph should provide enough thrills, with the M6 Convertible clocking a time of just 4.8sec - 0.2sec behind the coupe.
Like the coupe and M5, the convertible uses the seven-speed SMG automatic gearbox with a range of settings from super-fast to lightning-fast. It has carbonfibre reinforced front and rear bumpers and a rear bootlid made from a special lightweight compound.
Prices for the M6 Convertible are yet to be announced, but considering the coupe costs £81,760, you can bet it isn't going to be cheap.
