BMW World - World of the Strange - Introduction

When you see two priests, complete with cassock and Holy Scripture, riding into a car dealership the size of a football stadium on an aged motorcycle and sidecar, something tells you that the modern world isn't quite what it should be.

The opening of BMW Welt, or for Anglicans, BMW World, became, without intention or apology, the World of the Strange. Nobody flinched or did a second-take when the pair made their entrance.

In fact, the 500 dignitaries applauded when Germany's clerical version of Wallace and Gromit appeared from a glass lift on a 1930s BMW motorcycle and sidecar.

Odd it may have been, but it was all just part of the plan to celebrate the opening of BMW's new state-of-the-art dealership and heritage centre in Munich.
