British Motor Show - Mini thinks big

22 July 2008
Mini by name, but not by nature – at least as far as the company’s British motor show stand goes.

While there are no world debuts or concepts, there are versions of just about every Mini you can imagine, from the potent John Cooper Works version to the environmentally-friendly Mini Cooper D.

If you want performance, the John Cooper Works has 204bhp and hits 0-62mph in 6.5secs, despite returning a reasonable 40.9mpg and emitting 149g/km of CO2.

If you want economy, then the D returns 72.4mpg and emits just 104g/km of CO2 despite hitting 0-62mph in a reasonable 9.9secs.

And if you want anything else, there are variants of everything in between, plus Clubman and Convertible models to ogle.
