Buying a used car on the internet - Next generation

31 December 2007
There's a new generation of websites that specialise in used cars.

Companies such as Autoquake.co.uk and Carscarscars.co.uk let you commit to a car online, then take delivery of it at one of their centres.

The websites carry detailed descriptions and photos of each car. They also promise that you can examine the car and reject it to claim a refund if you're not happy.

Other sites, such Motorlogix.com, allow you to buy a low-mileage used car as you would a new car. All cars are between three and six months old, have done fewer than 12,000 miles and are sourced from franchised dealers.

These websites can be a good way to buy a used car. However, do your homework before you commit - make sure it's the right type of car for you and that it's priced competitively.
