The What Car? Car of the Year 2014 will be announced in less than one month's time, and here is a reminder of the cars that are in contention for the prizes.
The winner of each category will come from the longlist below, as will the overall winner. This year sees a few changes, with the SUV bracket now divided into small and large categories.
There is one category that you can get involved in; the Reader Award. This is voted for by you, and rewards the car that you're most excited about in 2014.
The overall winner last year was the Audi A3 Sportback 1.4 TSI 122 SE, and this year's winner will be revealed at a glamorous ceremony in London on January 7, 2014.**
