'What Car? mobile provides an important route for car buyers to reach our content and the response from our advertisers has been spectacularly positive. The rapid emergence of smart phones and the improved web browsing capabilities of all mobile phones means this will be an important platform for us.' Said Andrew Golby, What Car? Publishing Director.

Around 50,000 users a month already access the main What Car? website via their mobile device, and this number is expected to increase quickly with the introduction of m.whatcar.com

Steve Fowler, What Car? editor, said: 'What better way to go shopping for a new car than with What Car? in your pocket. You’ll be able to check on target prices and part-ex values while negotiating face-to-face with a dealer! What Car? mobile makes it even easier for our users to buy the right car at the right price.'

What's on it?
The new service incorporates What Car?’s most important features found on the main website, including:

• The nine-point What Car? road test, including picture galleries
• Comprehensive used car road tests
• Free of charge used car valuations tool
• Advice and tips section on buying, selling and running your car
• Latest car buying news on forthcoming models
• Used car listings, contract hire deals, new car deals and dealer search
• Buying tools including a company car tax calculator

All of the content has been adapted for a mobile phone environment with bespoke page layouts and rapid delivery of each page on the handset.

What Car? mobile will be especially useful to the car buyer when in car dealerships, as they can access over 400,000 car reviews covering almost ever every variant on sale in the UK today. What Car? mobile will enable car buyers to make even more informed choices.
