Kia has released pictures of the estate version of its new and impressive Cee'd Focus-rival.
The Cee'd Wagon will bring class-leading passenger and luggage space to the class when it arrives on sale in the summer, Kia claims. It's 235mm longer than the standard Cee'd five-door, with all of that extra length accounted for in the rear overhang, but it's also 10mm taller than the five-door, and features an innovatively-hinged tailgate.
The Cee'd tailgate swings not from the immediate 'top rear corner' of the car, but 225mm further forward, which will allow users to access the enlarged cargo compartment without stepping back from the rear of the car.
It'll get the same range of engines and transmission as the standard car, which means you get a choice of three petrol and two diesel motors, and will be sold in the same S, GS and LS trim levels.
The Cee'd Wagon will be shown for the first time at next month's Geneva motor show; final UK prices and specifications will be confirmed nearer to its showroom debut. It will be joined by the third Cee'd variant, the three-door hatch, at the end of the year.
