The Orlando concept car was first seen at the Paris motor show, and now Chevrolet has confirmed the seven-seat MPV will go on sale in 2011.

Company officials have said that that it will probably only be slightly modified before going on sale.

The concept car is powered by a 148bhp 2.0-litre diesel engine with 236lb ft of pulling power, although the range will be widened when the car goes on sale.

Officials from GM, Chevrolet's parent company, have confirmed they expect the car to achieve at least 40mpg.
