Chrysler's 'Pentastar' logo will return, says the firm's new owner

Chrysler is now officially owned by Canadian investment group Cerberus Capital Management.

Chrysler includes brands such as Jeep and Dodge, and the deal gives Cerberus 80.1% of Chrysler, with the remaining 19.9% retained by former owner Daimler.

The deal was struck on Friday.

Daimler-Benz and Chrysler had merged in 1998 in an £18 billion deal that was the largest of its time.

The deal will not affect the model line-up, although the company logo will revert to its traditional Pentastar (a star within a pentagon).

Warranties for current owners are not affected.
