Citroen is expanding its range of Airdream+ models.
The latest models to get the green makeover are the C3 Picasso and C4, and they will combine to form the initial Airdream+ range alongside the C3 Airdream+, which was launched at the beginning of the year.
Green powertrain
Common to every model is a range of eco-friendly technology, starting with a 1.6-litre HDi diesel engine and a particulate filter. In addition, the C3 models have a gearchange indicator – to show drivers the most economical gear to use – while the C4 has a semi-automatic EGS gearbox.
The C3 Picasso will do 62.8mpg and put out 119g/km of CO2. The C4 does 64.2mpg and emits 115g/km of CO2.
As a result, the first year’s road tax on all three models is free of charge, and they incur just 13% company car tax liability.
The standard equipment levels are based on VTR+ trim, but with the addition of rear parking sensors, Bluetooth and a USB socket.
The £14,645 C3 Picasso also adds electric rear windows, while the £18,345 C4 brings climate control.
