City cars star in this week's deals

There’s fierce competition in the sub-£10K city car class. Our weekly deals round-up features three small hatchbacks that all rank highly in this category, and the discounts available make them tempting prospects for those hunting for a small car.

We’ve found savings on the Citroen C1, Volkswagen Up and the Hyundai i10. They’re all cheap to run and, thanks to these online brokers, they’re now available with great discounts.

The funky Citroen C1 1.0 VTi 68 Flair 5dr has the biggest discount of the three. There’s £1376 off a new model from Drivethedeal.com and this brings the C1’s cost down to £9209, making it the cheapest of this selection.

This is a great discount on the well-specced city car that comes with luxurious extras such as a reversing camera, leather steering wheel and 15-inch alloys.

If efficiency is your priority in a city car, the Volkswagen 1.0 60 Bluemotion Tech Move Up 5dr may be the car for you. It’s the most fuel efficient car in the Up range thanks to its engine stop-start technology, low-rolling resistance tyres and brake regeneration technology. It all helps give the car a claimed fuel economy of 68.9mpg.

For a saving of £847, head over to Drivethedeal.com to grab a new Up for £9698.

Another well-specced option for driving around town, the Hyundai i10 1.0 Premium can be picked up from Orangewheels.co.uk with a saving of £968.

This brings the price down to £9342; good value considering the kit that comes with this top-end trim level. It includes alloys, LED daytime running lights, a leather steering wheel and Bluetooth.

The i10 is a practical option, too, thanks to its spacious cabin that can seat four six-foot adults comfortably.
