CityRover has arrived - Introduction

This is the CityRover, MG Rover’s long-awaited successor to the Metro.

The CityRover is a controversial addition to the Rover line-up. The five-door machine is based on the Tata Indica, an Indian-built city car that’s never been imported to Britain before. It has now gone on UK sale, costing between £6495 and £8895.

The new car is crucial to MG Rover’s future success. The Metro accounted for a third of all Rover sales in its heyday, and the British manufacturer is hoping the CityRover will be as popular.
