Honda will give clues to the look of its next Honda Accord Tourer when it unveils a concept car at the Frankfurt motor show.
The Accord Tourer Concept is reported to be wider, lower and sportier than the current car, as Honda tries to refresh its image and appeal to younger buyers.
Honda is promising that 'innovative chassis technology will deliver an involving driving experience without compromising ride comfort.'
The next Accord is scheduled to go on sale in the middle of next year.
No details of the engine line-up have been released, but the company is not expected to stray far from its current range of 153bhp 2.0-litre and 187bhp 2.4-litre petrols and a 138bhp 2.2-litre turbodiesel.
However, these are likely to be more efficient than the current units, as Honda joins every other car manufacturer in cutting carbon dioxide emissions to meet tough EU targets.
Honda will also show off its current range of petrol-electric hybrid engines at Frankfurt, including the Small Hybrid Sports Concept that was first seen at the 2007 Geneva motor show.
