Vauxhall's Corsa supermini is now available with a revised 1.3-litre diesel engine that drops the car into a lower road tax band.
Carbon dioxide emissions in the revised engine drop from 124g/km to 119g/km, meaning models attract a VED Group B rating. Owners will pay £35 a year in road tax, as opposed to the £115 the current engine in Group C attracts.
Should London's Congestion Charge change to be based on CO2 emissions, as proposed by Mayor Ken Livingstone, the new engine would be exempt from the toll.
The car is on sale now, starting at £9810 for a Corsa Life 1.3 CDTi three-door.
