Daewoo becomes Chevrolet - Matiz

The 800cc engine has been dropped from the Matiz city-car range along with SE+ specification.

This leaves the 63bhp 1.0-litre petrol-powered £5995 SE and £6995 LE as the only two Matiz models on offer. A next-generation Matiz goes on sale in the UK in late April or early May 2005.

The current entry-level Matiz now costs £300 more than before and gets a CD player, electric front windows and central locking as standard.

The LE features the air-conditioning, metallic paint, alloy wheels and electric door mirrors of the previous SE+ specification but for £1000 less.
