Daihatsu has announced that its Sirion range will be face-lifted in January next year.
The supermini will feature revised rear suspension to improve handling, new bumpers and air intakes, a new wheel design, revised front seats and a plusher cloth trim.
Prices for the range will begin at £7495 - just £35 higher than at present.
In addition, a new 1.5-litre Sirion SX will be added to the line-up, priced from £9495.
It has a 100bhp petrol engine, giving the car a top speed of 109mph and a 0-60mph time of 10.1 seconds. The car returns an average of 54.3mpg with a manual gearbox and 51.4mpg with an automatic.
Standard features include stability control, a deeper front spoiler, front foglamps, side skirts and a rear spoiler. Six airbags, red interior trim, alloy wheels, air-conditioning, four electric windows and a CD player are also fitted.
