The Government's Think! campaign has produced posters, radio advertisements and leaflets to publicise the dangers of driving while tired.
Jools Townsend, head of education at road safety group Brake, says: 'We need to see high-profile advertising campaigns about the dangers of driving while tired to educate drivers.'
Professor Parkes adds: 'It's easy to understand that a long motorway drive may be tiring, but few are aware of the morning-after effects highlighted by these tests.'
