For
The XFR will get you to 62mph in less than five seconds and its 5.0-litre supercharged V8 sounds absolutely brutal.

It’s not just a straight-line machine, though. This Jaguar has well weighted, accurate steering that rivals such as the BMW M5 and Mercedes E63 AMG simply can’t match. All the while, the XFR’s fine balance of comfort and control means the ride never feels too firm.

Against
Adults sitting in the back are likely to complain about the limited rear headroom, and fuel economy isn’t great – even for this calibre of car. While the interior is quite stylish, the build quality isn’t on par with the competition from Germany.

Should I add any options?
In XFR guise, the Jaguar comes with all the luxury kit you’d expect. Dual-zone climate control, automatic xenon headlights, electrically adjustable leather seats, digital radio, sat-nav and a Meridian surround-sound system are all standard.

An optional Speed Pack takes top speed from 155mph to 174mph, and adds subtle styling details, but it isn’t really worth the thousands of pounds that Jaguar charges for it. Other extras include a rear-view camera for £400, as well as adaptive cruise control with emergency braking, but that will set you back £1275.

What next?
If you want to take advantage of this discount, head to Drivethedeal.com and use the menus to select the petrol models of the Jaguar XF.

The price above includes a £10,000 discount which is conditional upon you taking out specific PCP finance arranged by the dealer. If you are looking to buy the car outright, you’ll be spending £56,227 with this deal.
