The BMW 520d SE auto is having a good year. In January, we named it our Executive Car of the Year 2015 and it also beat the new Jaguar XE and Mercedes-Benz C-Class in its latest triple test. To make it even more tempting, we’ve found a broker offering more than £5600 off the asking price.

The BMW 520d is one of the best cars on the market today. It’s a joy to drive and live with and it also offers great value for money.
Its diesel is powerful and efficient, with punchy performance and official fuel economy of 68.9mpg and CO2 emissions of 109g/km.
Inside, the cabin is roomy and feels high quality. It will comfortably seat four and the boot is one of the biggest in the class.
The 520d also benefits from a generous standard specification including part-electric and heated front seats, cruise and climate controls, automatic lights and wipers, sat-nav, Bluetooth, a DAB radio and a USB socket.
The ride and handling on the standard suspension are not good enough, but you can transform the dynamics by adding the adjustable suspension, although this option is not cheap.
Engine noise does intrude into the cabin at times, plus some wind noise, which develops around the wing mirrors when you're travelling at motorway speeds.
Finally, the overall cabin practicality is slightly hampered by the large transmission tunnel, which is awkward if you happen to be sitting in the middle of the rear bench seat.
Should I add any options?
As mentioned, start by adding the Variable Damper Control. It will set you back £985 but is well worth it. Also opt for folding rear seats which cost £335.
