Detroit 2007: your guide to the show - Cadillac

08 January 2007
Great news - a right-hand-drive Cadillac

The chances of you ever having seen the current Cadillac CTS on UK roads are pretty slim. It's only available through a handful of dealers, and only in left-hand drive, so it hasn't exactly sold like hot cakes.

That all changes next year, at least as far as the steering wheel is concerned. This next-generation version will, like every other future car from Cadillac, be engineered for right-hand drive.

Unlike the current car, it will also be available with a diesel engine, which should further boost sales.

Still, don't expect the CTS to become as common as a Ford Mondeo. The dealer network is still tiny, so the brand has yet to make any meaningful impact on the market this side of the pond.
