Detroit 2007: your guide to the show - Honda

08 January 2007
Honda's crystal balls
It doesn't take an awful lot of imagination to see what the next-generation Accord will look like, thanks to a pair of concept cars from Honda.

This one previews the look of the coupe version, which we're unlikely to get in the UK, but it still shows how the range is shaping up.

If you can't picture what this coupe might look like as a four-door saloon, never fear - Honda unveiled the Sports 4 Concept at Tokyo in 2005, and that gives a clear idea of what the family car will be like.

There's not too long to wait until we see the road cars themselves, however. The current Accord was only launched in 2002, but Honda has shorter product lifecycles than many manufacturers, so the next-generation car will go on sale in 2008.
