What's in a name? There are some daft American names knocking about at Detroit, which makes it sound a little bit like a roll call of gladiators.
Avenger, Interceptor, Trailhawk - you know the kind of thing.
Then there are the Japanese manufacturers, with names that mean 'nice cup of tea' or are just tongue-twisting arrangements of letters and hyphens.
And then, there's Nissan, which has brought the Bevel and the Rogue - which don't quite carry the same menace as the American names.
BevelIn many ways you could see this as a successor to the lovable Cube, which sold really well in Japan, but never made it over to the UK.
The Bevel stands a slightly better chance, but there are no plans just yet. Start campaigning and, if you're in luck, you might see something similar in a few years' time.
RogueBasically, this is a reworking of the
Qashqai for the US. It's not just a re-badged product - Nissan has done a little bit more work than that - but that's essentially what it is.
