If you want a four-seater convertible but you don't want to join the throng of Fords, Peugeots, Renaults, Vauxhalls, Volkswagens and Volvos out there, what about this?

The Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe arriving this summer has a lot more legroom than all of these, and it'll only cost you around 15 times as much (about £260,000, in fact).

You won't find anything like the Roller's polished steel bonnet or teak-covered roof deck on any of the others, either.

Or, for that matter, the rearward-opening coach doors that allow for more graceful ingress and egress (that's getting in and out for posh people).

The convertible uses the same 6.75-litre V12 that powers the Phantom saloon, which means you can swish to 60mph in just 5.7sec.
