No, it's just a simply enormous pick-up truck concept vehicle from Ford.

Measuring a staggering 6.7 metres long, the F250 Super Chief can even dwarf a long-wheelbase Maybach luxury car.

Fancy some more daft numbers? Well, it's nearly two metres tall, it's got 24-inch wheels, a 6.8-litre V10 engine and a pair of leather-lined ottomans for the rear seat passengers which flip out from the American walnut and brushed aluminium floor at the flick of a switch. One flip out ottoman is fine, two is just excessive.

With the price of fuel 'rocketing' above $2 a gallon, Ford has made sure the engine can run on ethanol (like the Biofuel Focus which has just gone sale in the UK) and hydrogen as well as petrol.

Duran Duran would be proud
The Reflex is a far more sensible proposition, even if it does have scissor-action doors.

It follows on from the Iosis concept (which indicates the look of the 2007 Mondeo) and further develops new Ford design themes.

Like the Mazda Kabura, it can either seat one adult or two children in the back besides the passengers up front, and aims to give young families something sporty to drive. Looks nice.

Anything to buy?
Not for the UK. For the US there's the new Edge 4x4 which Ford won't bring over here for fear of treading on the toes of other marques in the family including Volvo, Land Rover and now Mazda, since it's bringing the CX-7.

There's also the fastest Mustang ever built. The GT500 develops 475bhp, spits to 60mph in 5.4secs and will cost buyers in the low $40,000 range when it goes on sale in the summer. God bless America.
