Dodge Journey from £16,995

18 August 2008

The seven-seat Dodge Journey MPV will start from £16,995 when it goes on sale this month.

Buyers of the Ford S-Max rival will have a choice of two engines: a 173bhp 2.4-litre petrol mode or a 138bhp 2.0 diesel.

The diesel is likely to account for the bulk of sales, and costs from £17,995 – or around £1000 less than the equivalent base model S-Max.

The base Journey SE includes three-zone climate control, a six-disc CD player and keyless entry.

The SXT trim adds cruise control, fog lights, 17-inch alloys, and electric driver’s seat.

The range-topping 2.0 CRD R/T Automatic costs £22,995, and includes heated front seats, leather interior, chrome roof rails and 19-inch alloys. However, it is only marginally cheaper than the range-topping S-Max.
