Could you live with a smaller car? - Down to... Vauxhall Corsa

Gaynor said: 'I've always chosen larger cars because I zip from London to Liverpool and back at weekends to visit family, and I have three teenagers to take on the school run.

'The Corsa was a revelation - I fell in love with it. Not only did it look great from the outside, the weekly shopping for six people was no problem with the seats folded down. My son also thought there was more room in the back than in our Focus.

'The steering was light, but that vital sense of solidity was still there when it came to motorway mileage. At cruising speed, I could easily accelerate without having to change gears. The seats were supportive for the long haul, too. Full marks.'

We say…
Our Supermini of the Year has impressed even an estate driver with its space and ability. If Gaynor considered the frugal, if slightly slower, 1.3 CDTi 75 diesel Club she'd get far more miles to the gallon than her Mondeo on those Liverpool trips.

Could you live with a smaller car? - So... is it worth it after all?
