An electric version of the all-new Ford Focus will be 'available' to UK car buyers, Ford has announced at the Detroit motor show.
However, Ford of Europe chairman John Fleming says it will depend on infrastructure and demand being in place before it is launched.

Ford says field trials are currently being conducted in the UK, using an electric version of the current Focus to get customer feedback
Production from 2010
Production of hybrid and plug-in hybrid models based on the new Focus platform will begin in 2012, says Ford's executive chairman Bill Ford.
