Euro NCAP safety latest - Introduction

15 October 2008
Safety organisation Euro NCAP has released the test crash scores awarded to four new UK-bound cars: the Daihatsu Cuore, Hyundai i30, Mercedes Benz M Class and Renault Koleos.

All cars scored well for Adult Occupant protection, with three achieving five stars and the Cuore just one behind.

Child Protection ratings were split equally between three and four stars. All cars were, however, fitted with ISOFIX mountings.

Pedestrian Protection was found to be low throughout the new vehicle test, with three out of the four scoring two stars, and the M Class rating just one star in the class.
