Front impact
The passenger compartment remained stable in the impact, with the knees and femurs rated as well protected during the impact.

Child protection
The Ibiza scored maximum points for its protection of the 18-month-old dummy.

It was also praised because the passenger airbag can be deactivated to allow a rearward-facing child restraint to be used up front.

However, it was criticised because information provided to the driver regarding the status of the passenger airbag wasn't sufficiently clear.

Also, no clear warning is given regarding the dangers of using a rearward-facing child seat in the front passenger seat without having first disabled the airbag.

The presence of ISOFIX anchorages in the rear outboard seats is not clearly marked, either.

Pedestrian protection
The bumper scored maximum points for the protection it offered to pedestrians' legs.

The bonnet was rated fair for its protection of a child's head.

However, the protection offered to the head of anadult was rated as poor.
