Porsche's four-door Panamera coupe has been spied in testing, which has given our computer artists the chance to draw up these images of the car.
On sale in 2009, the Panamera is the company's first four-seater coupe and, according to 94% of voters in a whatcar.com poll, will be a good addition to the company’s range.
Engines will include an all-new Volkswagen 3.5-litre V6 with around 300bhp, a non turbo version of Porsche’s 4.5-litre V8 with 350bhp and a turbo version with around 560bhp — enough to give 0-62mph in under 5.0sec.
A reworked version of the Carrera GT’s 612bhp 5.7-litre V10 may also be in the pipeline, as is a hybrid combining petrol power with an electric, battery-powered motor.
The Panamera's not the only luxury four-door sports car on the way, though. Aston Martin could well beat Porsche to the punch with its Rapide, which may go on sale as early as 2008.
