More oomph for Cayenne Turbo S

A new, more powerful Turbo S version of the Porsche Cayenne 4x4 is now available for £81,565.

Producing 521bhp, the Turbo S Cayenne is 71bhp more powerful than a standard Turbo version of the car, which costs from £70,700.

The newcomer takes 0.4sec off the 0-62mph time compared with the Turbo, posting a time of just 5.2 seconds. Top speed is extended by just 2mph to 167mph.

Porsche says the added performance hasn't had any impact on fuel economy, but you can still expect to get just an average of 18mpg.

Tweaked intercoolers help extract the extra power from the 4.5-litre V8, while uprated brakes can bring the Turbo S to a standstill faster than the standard model.

Sales start on February 25, with a Porsche driving day thrown in for every buyer.
