This is the face-lifted Hyundai ix35, which is on show at the Geneva motor show.
It has been given a new engine, an updated interior and more optional extras.
The new 2.0-litre petrol engine develops more power, but returns improved average fuel economy compared with the unit it replaces. However, it's unlikely that the new engine will come to the UK due to our preference for diesel power.
Inside, the ix35 now has plusher materials and chrome touches.
Optional equipment includes a heated steering wheel, bi-xenon headlights and front parking sensors.
The face-lifted ix35 also gets Hyundai's Flex Steer system, which offers three settings – Normal, Comfort and Sport – that tune the steering to different driving styles.
All ix35s come with a five-year, unlimited-mileage warranty, five years of free roadside assistance and vehicle health checks.
We expect the face-lifted ix35 to arrive in late summer. Prices will be announced nearer its launch.
