I want a convertible with space for five. What options do I have?

A: Sadly, you don't have any options - there aren't any such cars on sale in the UK at the moment.

US buyers might get the option of five-seater drop tops like the Chrysler Sebring, but any convertible you see on sale in the UK only has seatbelts for four.

That means it would be illegal and dangerous to carry five, even if you think there might be space to 'squeeze one in' for a short trip.

The closest you might get to a wind-in-your-hair experience with five seats would be with a large panoramic sunroof. Whether you're after a supermini, small family car, 4x4 or seven-seater MPV there are plenty of options.
