This is my last week with the Dacia Sandero. It's done a great job and has stood up well to the last 8000 miles. I’ve treated it a thorough clean inside and out, and it looks pretty much identical to the day it arrived on the fleet. Not bad for the UK's cheapest car.

I'll share a longer farewell next week.

I've been keeping an eye on the used market for a while, hoping to spot a Sandero. Until recently they were few and far between, but now some have started to appear.

I found a 2012, 62 plate 0.9 TCe Laureate in the same blue metallic paint as ours with just 3000 miles on the clock. It was on the market for £7795. At that price, the owner has lost just £1495 to depreciation, which is just 16% of the value. Let's see if it sells…

The Sandero is getting ready to leave us, so this week we filmed the final video.

For a car that wins the award for the cheapest new car in the UK, the interior has stood up to daily use really well. The plastics might be a bit hard and the dash might be a bit dull, but there are no scratches to be seen and no annoying rattles.

Impressive for a budget car.
