Ferrari SA APERTA to make Paris show

Ferrari is marking the 80th anniversary of its relationship with Italian design house Pininfarina with this stunning open-top supercar, the SA APERTA.
The bad news is that if you haven't already placed your order, it's too late - just 80 will be built and they're already all spoken for.
The two-seater will make it debut at the Paris motor show next week, and is named in honour of Sergio and Andrea Pininfarina, whose company has been responsible for some of the all-time great Ferraris.
Iconic models such as the 365 GTB/4 'Daytona', Testarossa and F40 all originate from the company's drawing boards.
The SA APERTA is based on the 599 supercar, but comes as an open-top only. The car's chassis has been resigned to produce the same stiffness as the coupe, yet there's negligible weight difference.
Such a special car requires a special engine so the SA APERTA uses the same 661bhp 6.0-litre V12 as the 599 GTO - Ferrari's fastest road car ever.
No performance figures have been released, but the SA APERTA should be comparable with the GTO, which means 0-62mph in under 3.5 seconds and a top speed of 208mph.
Ferrari is staying tight-lipped as to how many are destined for UK customers, and will announce the price at the Paris show. However, it's expected to be more than £340,000.
