Aston has released details of the last 40 Vanquish supercars.
Vanquish S Ultimate Edition cars come with special leather upholstery, black interior trim, a personalised sill plate and the option of 'ultimate black' paintwork, but the 520bhp V12 engine and 200mph top speed are unchanged. Prices also match the standard S at £182,095.
These special Vanquish models will also be the last Aston Martins to be finished at the Newport Pagnell plant, and are expected to sell out within a few weeks.
After Vanquish production has finished, Newport Pagnell will continue to be home to Aston's Works Service Department, but new cars will no longer be made there.
• From today, Aston's Works Service Department is also offering manual gearbox conversions for all Vanquish models sold since launch in 2001.
For £15,570, Aston Works will remove the Magneti Marelli six-speed paddlshift gearbox from your Vanquish and replace it with a conventional six-speed manual and a clutch pedal - a modification which may well be attractive to owners of the very earliest Vanquishes, where paddleshift 'boxes were known to cause reliability problems.
