Ford will face-lift and rename its Focus C-Max MPV next summer to dovetail the five-seater with its new S-Max seven-seater.
The five-seater will no longer use the Focus name and will adopt a more S-Max type appearance, this Bolgona Motor Show preview car showing how it will look.
A new front-end design, with remodelled headlamps, bumpers and bonnet, uses many elements from the company's latest 'kinetic' design treatment that has already been used in the S-Max and will be adopted by the all-new Mondeo next year.
Ford also promises that the updated C-Max will have a 'significantly improved' cabin, with upgrade materials and new features. Instruments are updated, and now illuminated in red, while the centre console has more stowage space and the stereo an auxiliary input for an MP3 player.
A reshaped handbrake lever frees up space in the cabin, while interior colours, door inserts, seat design and materials are all changed.
