Ford will unveil its Fiesta Econetic, part of the all-new Fiesta range, at the British Motor Show.
Although full details are being kept under wraps until the show opens on July 23, we do know that the car will be powered by a small diesel engine and emit less than 100g/km of carbon dioxide, putting it in VED road tax band A, which is charge-free.
The low-emission engine will be combined with low-rolling-resistance tyres, low-friction transmission fluid, higher gear ratios and some aerodynamic tweaks to reduce emissions.
Ford will also launch the high-performance Focus RS at the show, as well as showing off the rest of the new Fiesta range, which goes on sale in September.
